Forget the boom boxes and barbecue: this month, Chef David Bull will be hosting a block party unlike any other on his renowned corner of Second and Congress. An evening of cuisine, wine and cocktails, Chef Bull’s Block Party will benefit No Kid Hungry, which aims to end childhood hunger in America.
Tyson Cole has had his hands full in 2010... He opened a new restaurant, Uchiko, welcomed another daughter to his family, maintained the four-star quality of his first concept, Uchi, and secured space in Houston for a third sushi restaurant for later in 2011. And this week, he launched his first ever cookbook - Uchi: The Cookbook. Designed by Julie Savasky and DJ Stout of Pentagram design firm, photographed by myriad photographers including Jennifer Davik, Jen Helo, and Rebecca Fondren, and distributed by UT Press, the book is a beautiful anthology of the story of Uchi.
