Date Night: David & Kerrin F. Forsyth

Date Night: David & Kerrin F. Forsyth

By Day: He’s an executive recruiter with the Innovar Group, and she’s a jewelry designer and owner of FALK Jewelry Designs.

How They Met
She was an undergrad, and he was a grad student at UT.

Kerrin says: My dad always emphasized the fact that it is important to meet someone while doing something you love to do...and I love going out! It was actually a particularly special night, though… I went to a Tim McGraw concert with my sister, where she met who would be her future husband. Dave was at the concert that night too, but we hadn’t met. After the concert I begged my sister to go to the Aquarium [a favorite Sixth Street watering hole], and that’s where we all met up. Nothing better than sisters marrying friends.

Their Perfect Date
Kerrin says: We start the day at Emma Long Park to play lacrosse or throw the football. Then we head over to Ski Shores Café for some drinks, food and often live music. We sit on the dock and watch the water skiers and party boats go by. We also run together with our two dogs at Lady Bird Lake. That’s when we do a lot of our talking, and good ideas arise while running (or drinking)!

Off the Clock
This active duo can be found catching a movie at Violet Crown, walking over to Guero’s on a Sunday for live music, margaritas and fajitas, having a burger at Hopdoddy or happyhouring at J. Black’s or La Condesa.

Why It Works
Kerrin says: We talk. Seriously, our communication rocks and we are so thankful that we are both natural communicators! We also play together... tennis, volleyball, running, biking, skiing, swimming — you name it!

Keeping Love Alive
Kerrin says: We are incredibly spontaneous. And while we love to cook and stay in, we also go out often — to get a glass of wine, or go to dinner. It doesn’t always have to be fancy!
