How to Launch a Line

An insider's look into Limbo Jewelry Design and its new downtown showroom.

The story behind Limbo Jewelry Design is one of true Austin love. Anne Rutt-Enriquez met Edson Enriquez at First Thursday. She was a waitress at Vespaio, and he managed the outdoor artists market on South Congress and sold his jewelry designs outside the restaurant. After discovering their mutual love for all things food and music, the couple began dating, and they married in 2009 Taking regular trips to gather inspiration — including recent treks to New York and Chicago, the couple looks to art, architecture, street style and industrial design to inform their collections. Enriquez said that his recent line was inspired by geometric shapes, Chicago and Art Deco. Each chic piece is made of sterling silver and 14K gold-fill, and handcrafted in Austin at the company’s East Austin studio. Stay tuned as Limbo will be launching its bridal line this month.
