Best known as the station that brought the world Austin City Limits, KLRU has been inspiring our city for the past 50 years. Besides helping put the Live Music Capital of the World on the map, KLRU has been enriching the lives of Central Texans through its creative use of content in order to produce exceptional educational television. Each year KLRU presents more than 30,000 hours of quality public programming across four broadcast channels, including KLRU, KLRU Create, KLRU-Q and V-me. In the spirit of our perpetually evolving city, KLRU continues to grow and develop. The recently launched channel V-me provides Spanishlanguage programming, while 11 hours of educational children’s programs are aired on KLRU each day. In addition to Austin City Limits, KLRU creates content locally but makes it available to the world with productions such as Overheard with Evan Smith, Central Texas Gardener and On Story: Presented by the Austin Film Festival. A patron of the arts, KLRU also spotlights Ballet Austin and other creative organizations on episodes of Arts in Context and KLRU Collective. A nonprofit organization, KLRU is made possible primarily by member support. Join fellow Central Texans in celebrating KLRU: 50 Years of Inspiration for an evening that is sure to be unforgettable. With ACL Live at the Moody Theater serving as the fabulous venue, guests will be wined, dined and entertained by the finest cuisine and live music Austin has to offer. Enriching, engaging and inspiring, KLRU is Austin. To purchase tickets and/or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please visit klru.org/inspiringaustin.
