Art City Austin by Katie Brown

Next weekend, on April 14 &15, Art City Austin will be celebrating the city's vibrant creative energy, transforming downtown Austin into a haven for local vendors and artists and the Austinites who love them.
Art City Austin, presented by Art Alliance Austin, will showcase a diverse array of the city's creative sector, from jewelry to mixed media to woodwork. For a full list of participating artists, please visit Art City Austin online. Of course, it wouldn't be an Austin-worthy festival without plenty of live music, and guests can look forward to performances by local musicians throughout the weekend. A full schedule is available online.
Have children? Art City Austin also has a great kids block that includes stations for kids to create, interact and play.
Admission is $8 for adults at the gate (free for kids 12 and under), which includes complementary admission and transportation to AMOA-Arthouse and The Blanton Museum of Art. Or, keep Austin a little bit greener, and enjoy free admission when you bike to Mellow Johnny's Bike Valet (1st Street bridge) or present your Capital Metro Pass!
