Though Austin has made a name for itself as one of the greenest cities in the country, it can still be a challenge to incorporate green, sustainable living into the everyday aspects of our lives. Austin’s newest Sustain Center, however, takes the guesswork out of going green: set to open on April 28, the innovative showroom hopes to open up the world of sustainable systems to the Austin community.
Serving as an event space, demonstration showcase and testing site, the Sustain Center promises to be a hub for environmentally-friendly practices. Open six days a week, the center offers Austinites a space to leisurely stroll and explore methods of sustainable living developed by an array of forward-thinking vendors, including Brite Ideas Hydroponics & Organics—a full line of products for hydroponic and aquaponic systems—and Reclaimed Space, which designs sustainable, energy-efficient homes. From the foundation up, Sustain Center reminds Austinites that an environmentally respectful home and lifestyle aren’t just dreams—together, we can make it a reality.
Be sure to join Sustain Center for its grand opening event on Saturday, April 28 from 10am-4pm. Guests can enjoy a series of workshops as well as food and beverages provided by local food trailers.
